Current Drug Trends: Updates on Teen Use and the Potency of Today’s Marijuana

Jamie Carvalho, MA, LPC, LCADC

Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She is a Co-Founder of Cairn Psychotherapy Group in Florham Park, NJ. Jamie will discuss the current trends in substance use among teens and adolescents as well as the potency and harmful effects of today’s marijuana. 

 

During this presentation, we will review the types of substances that are currently being used. We will discuss the reasons for teen use, as well as parenting strategies to promote positive coping skills. We will discuss the various ways that marijuana is used and how to address a teenager’s lack of concern with use.
