Superintendent's Statement on Acts of Hate

In light of concerns about a recent surge in hate-crimes and anti-semitism around the nation and in local communities, I want to remind you that the Millburn Schools condemn and denounce hate and bias in any form.  They have no place in our schools or in our community.

Chromebook Insurance - Enrollment Ends February 15th

Millburn Township Public Schools is offering an affordable insurance program for school-issued student devices for the 2020-21 school year. This year, the insurance is optional, however, it is highly recommended. The deadline to purchase is February 15th, 2021.

Washington School Broadcast Club - Application Due Nov. 24th

Traditionally, Washington School facilitates a Broadcast Club that allows students to Livestream the news to their fellow classmates. Although our circumstances are different, we’d like to try our best to keep some Washington traditions intact. With that being said, our 5th Graders are invited to apply for the Broadcast Club.

Washington Global Read Aloud Mural Challenge

The student art challenge’s purpose is to create a canvas mural on the wall in the front hallway of Washington School. The idea is to create a piece of art that communicates how the theme(s) of The Front Desk can help us to improve the world.

Author Visit at Washington

We would like to encourage families to purchase a book by author, Jarrett Lerner. Books may be personalized. Jarrett Lerner is visiting Washington School on Friday, September 13th and will continue to work with students all year long. Each class will have six virtual visits with Jarrett this year. The PTO will have the BOOK order open until noon on Monday, September 9. Order books by clicking on the headline.

Open House at Washington School

Washington School will host an Open House for all incoming students and their families on Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29.   On both days, the school will be open from 11:00 to 12:00 to tour the building and locate classrooms.
Packs W, O and L are invited on August 28 and Packs V, E and S on August 29.
Please be aware that there will be no formal presentation during our Open House and that not all staff will be present.
